I had operated on both knees - remove cartilage, ligaments, cut to move the ball into the right position, MCL tension - not much pain (2. time there was a direct line of fluid into the possible pain) in the knee.

I have a machine that bent my knees for me - I think it was called CPM machine. There was also a platform of ice machine - a bit cooler with a pump, water infiltration block of ice for my knee.

I started physical therapy a few days after the operation.

If I were you, I ask the physiotherapist, or call your doctor and see what they say.
