Are Ball jars (and mason jars in general) dishwasher safe? - ball canning jars wholesale
I guess they can withstand the heat of the dishwasher, because they are used for boiling water canning. But I found nothing that tells me one way or another. In homecanning.com emphasize the ball out of the way that their freezer jars, plastic in the dishwasher, but do not mention what their glass bottles.

They are. You can also sterilize the jars before use of disinfectants (or release heat) cycle in the dishwasher. Be sure to add any detergent.
All I know for sure is that I put in the dishwasher and it cracked again. So I need not say NO dishwasher safe.
